We have embarked on our very first Banjobrothers models. Up until now we have just been building custom banjos with assorted necks. We will have first class quality necks for these builds, with the "BANJO BROTHERS" name on the headstocks and the model name in the fret board inlay block at 19th fret. We are not neck builders so we have asked a well known American builder to supply us with these first demo models. Our intention is to build the highest possible quality within a reasonable budget. How many banjos have you wanted to own until you saw the price tag of $5000+ We can only speak for ourselves, but every banjo we want is well over $5000, and we want one of every type which is just not possible. We will be using the same parts as used by the worlds best builders to build our own "Banjobrothers" banjos. We are so passionate about our dream and look forward to growing old doing this. We also think it is an added extra if you can vist the people that made your instrument or at least get on MSN or telephone and have a good chat to us.
Our first openback model the "COLONIAL" is now ready and looks and sounds great. Tonering is a Tubaphone .The timbers are U.S.black walnut for neck and "BANJOBROTHERS" block rim made to last. The highest quality metalware is used on this instrument with Waverly V2 vintage tuners with ivoroid buttons to match the neck binding & kerchner tail piece. This is an all rounder any situation type of banjo. It can be used for all styles of banjo playing. When frailed it has that old timey sound and when you put on a set of picks,it comes to life! It's a beauty and reasonably priced at $3200aus considering the quality . We may think of offering a resonator for those pickers that think they need one.
The Eureka is ready and on display. Specs: Longskirt vintage nickle Huber tonering and metalware fitted on a Hard rock USA maple block "BANJOBROTHERS" rim. Curly maple neck with mother of pearl inlays and matching resonator bound in ivoroid bindings, Waverly V2 vintage style offset tuners with ivoriod vintage buttons, Huber 5/8th bridge and medium strings. This is a beautiful looking and sounding banjo made to last. We have used only the finest components and woods. We offer our services and repairs, which is a bonus for our customers. Generally people buy a USA built banjo but do not get the opportunity to talk with the builders or can afford to send it to the USA for repairs if something should ever go wrong. This Banjo is equal, if not better than some banjos priced more on the market & it's built here in australia by us, with full support and back up . We say buy here in Australia.
