Somehow  for technical reasons, I couldn't reply to the original topic.


However it's maple, maple all the way IMHO. Northern hard rock maple spits out the notes with a brightness like nothing else. Walnut and mahogany are soft,sultry and sexy in their own way, but can't stand up to a maple neck and pot for pure sound and power.
