I'm thinking of upgrading a Deering Goodtime 2 with a tone ring, Deering sells a higher model that incorporates one. I presume it's the same pot  machined to support the ring. Any suggestions as to which tone ring might best suit this maple resonator banjo?

I will have to do some research but I am pretty sure you will need another rim if you a talking about a bluegrass tonering. I think the Goodtime 2 rim is Half inch which is too thin for geniune bluegrass rings.

We can supply rims and tonerings. We love Huber tonerings but we have many other choices. If you let us know a price or budget you are thinking of we can tell you your choices.
